Aetna Life Insurance Company

A discussion of California's proposed venture in socialism. State insurance the first step. An outline of workmen's compensation laws in the United States and abroad. A statement of costs and results

Aetna Life Insurance Company, Western Branch, Accident and Liability Department, San Francisco. 1913, 30p., wraps, very good but for minor crease to back cover due to presence of folded chart at the back; the chart itself is very good but bound in in such a manner that it would need to be torn to unfold completely. Critical of a proposal by the Industrial Accident Board to mandate social insurance, derided as "a socialistic and paternalistic scheme" that constitutes an affront to individualism.
