The Viking Press, New York. 1946, 152p., profusely illus. with FSA photographs (credits to Lange, Shahn, Evans and others), first edition openweave buckram boards in a badly worn dj. Pastedowns somewhat browned, endsheets also to a lesser degree, else internally and externally very good all round. Jacket is flaking along edges and foldlines and is completely split at the spine, partial splitting along flap folds, spine panel has a 2-inch chip at the head and a smaller one at the tail (graphics intact but Rosskam's name is slightly affected), red spine titling a bit faded. Cover panel is faintly rubberstamped 'Workers Library edition."
