The Colliery Engineer Co., Scranton. 1899, A nice copy of the second volume. Variously paginated (some 250 to 325 pages long), hardbound in half-leather buckram boards, pressed-calf titled gilt and ruled in black, artfully stippled textblock edges, marbled endsheets with cloth-reinforced hinges as issued. Edges are a little worn and scuffed, and the head is pulled with several short tears in the leather; a very sturdy and little-used copy, clean within but for one neat old ownership signature in sepia nib.
