Good Times Commune, San Francisco. 1972, 28p., newsprint tabloid, 16x11 inches. Mild toning, slight handling- and dust-soil, a few light notes in red pencil to cover, a good copy. Cover dominated by b&w photo of NLF soldier over caption "Vietnam will win," headlines announce "Air War Poster / Narc Pic / VVAW Demo Pix / Haight wins 2, loses 1." Rear leaf is an I Ching hexagram describing victory. San Francisco's longest lasting underground paper. Find Viet news and photos, and a short account of a Vietnam Veterans Against the War demonstration with three more photos; "Technology as a tool of repression;" African liberation; the Haight article (re-zoning); ITT /CIA article; the centerfold poster is a b&w drawing, shows US eagle spewing fighter-planes over peasantry [FYI, expertly drawn but more of a drawing than a 'poster']; "Answering Angela," one Beatrice countering Davis' grump about white women. "Narc Pic" story: "Federal narcs murdered Dirk Dickenson on a ranch near Garberville" after chasing him down with a helecopter (two photos of the encounter). Find other articles along with usual ads of the era.
