Good Times Commune, San Francisco. 1969, 20p., newsprint tabloid with plenty of illustrations; 11x16.5 in., folded, mild toning, very good copy. Cover illustration is a bland couple in profile, banner text reads "inside a hippie cult, p.10". San Francisco's longest lasting underground paper. Stories start with what's happening at KSAN, counterculture-friendly Bay Area radio that is getting a make-over to the right; excerpts from Abbie Hoffman's speech in Provo Park, Berkeley with a good portrait photo; GI deserters; Max Scherr gets the Barb back; "electrical torture of prisoners and civilians is offricial U.S. policy in Vietnam;" another episode of "that old-time favorite Amerikan folk drama --Cop Kills Fleeing Kid" [in Redwood City]; Saul Landau talks to Castro; arriving at page ten, the "cult" turns out to be Morning Star.
