Good Times Commune, San Francisco. 1970, 24p., tabloid with plenty of illustrations; 11x16.5 in., folded, very toned, very edgeworn newsprint (mis-folding contributed to wear), many closed tears and chips, front page bears an ink-pen reminder "Concert Sunday 2468 Shattuck". A fair-only copy. Cover illustration is a block-print of fists pulling open prison-bars; contents banner says "free los siete" San Francisco's longest lasting underground paper. Stories start with briefest updates on Panther 9 trial, La Raza march, Native American Richard Oakes regains consciousness after a beating, Puerto Rican radicals declare war on Bronx cops, Hari Krishna chanters booked. Then a double-spread with pix on the Siete trial, followed by several other double-spreads: on Byron Georgia, on Hari Krishnas, on the situation in Chile, plus much more.
