Carroll, Lewis aka Charles Lutwidge Dodgson

Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There. Illustrated by Barry Moser. Preface and Notes by James R. Kincaid. Text Edited by Selwyn H. Goodacre. The Pennyroyal Edition as designed and illustrated by Barry Moser [subtitle from dj]

University of California Press, Berkeley. 1983, xxiii, 169p., a fine large substantial book with rubrication in both red and blue; Moser's illustrations far outnumber Tenniel's and are worthy additions. Hardbound first American issue in 13.5x8.5 inch clothbacked boards titled metallic blue, and a price-clipped dust jacket; there is slight edgewear to lower edge of casing, find a remarkably lovely presentation and monogram ("for Katie") on the title page, no other marks, dj is a bit toned with a touch of edgewear. Very good copy.
