the journal, Ashiya, Hyogo-ken, Japan. 1973, 62p., very good in staplebound wraps. Single issue of the leftist journal published mainly by western expats based in Japan. This issue includes an interview by Norman Thorpe with the Korean dissident Kim Dae-jung, recently released from prison. Thorpe describes walking to Kim's house, which was surrounded by plainclothes cops, to speak with the activist. Years later, of course, Kim was elected president of South Korea.
