Crawston, Publisher, Hollywood, CA. 1937, Two volume set, 292p. & 324p., 8.5x11 inches, heavily illustrated with maps, b&w photos, several nice engraved portraits, tables, biographies, history, personal inscription signed by the author in volume 1, his relative Lee Palmer in volume 2, very good first edition set in blind-stamp-decorated dark brown cloth (simulated leather) with shelfworn edges. Massive early history of the film town by an M.D. who moved to Hollywood from Schenectady, NY in 1900 for his health (??) and set up practice for the filmmakers and stars. Essentially self-published
