Hinds, John

[The Veterinary Surgeon; or, Farriery] Taught on a New and Easy Plan; Being a Treatis on All the Diseases and Accidents to which the Horse Is Liable [etc., etc.] With Considerable Additions and Improvements, particularly Adapted to this Country. By Thomas M. Smith.

John Grigg, Philadelphia. 1830, xiv, 224p., three folded plates as called for, textblock intact except for detached initial and terminal blanks, which are present. A poor copy of the first American edition, once bound in full calf, spine panel fallen to red rust, both covers present but very rubbed. Title page is cropped at top and title commences at the word "Taught". Text leaves are toned; some so much as to be hard to read. Were it not for the excellent condition of the three folded plates we should have not bothered to offer this item for sale.
