Provisional International Contact Commission

International News. February 1942

Demos Press, Chicago. 1942, Single issue of the bulletin, 8p., pages evenly toned but otherwise very good. Includes a critique of James P. Cannon's statement on the war. Also included is a brittle and edge-chipped example of the May 1941 issue. In 1935 the Revolutionary Workers League was expelled from the Socialist Workers Party for opposing the 'French turn,' the RWL then organized itself as the left opposition of the SWP and split into two RWLs in 1938. One faction was led by Tom Stamm, while this group based in Chicago was led by Hugo Oehler and Sid Lens.
