Grace, W. R. and Company ["chemical conglomerate" per Wikipedia]

The Grace Log [23 unduplicated numbers, from v.XXII n.5 (Sept-Oct 1947) to v.XXIX n.3 (May-June l954) the broken run as a lot]

W. R. Grace & Co., New York. 1947-54, Each issue about 24p., coated paperstock throughout with predominantly b&w photoillustrations, back-cover color ads (with occasional color versos), all in same format: 11x8.5 inch staplebound wraps. Some issues have short splits along spinefolds, some staples slightly touched with rust, a good, handleable lot. Grace got its start in gunpowder, moved with the times to asbestos. The "Log" is probably aimed at an audience of investors rather than tourists. Director in the period in hand, and on into the 1960s, was J. Peter Grace, funder of right-wing violence in the Caribbean and Central America, none of that content to be found here, of course.
