Standard Publishing Co., Chicago. 1890, 519p., paperstock is somewhat acidic and toned and not yet fragile, texts are illustrated with a number of vignette woodblocks; reprint of an 1885 first issue, hardbound cased into 9x6 inch grey cloth boards decorated in black and titled gilt. A very good copy; spine has a small blemish, back cover has a minute ding and some light staining or offset soil, while the interior is perfectly clean, sound and tight. All in all a very good copy. The twenty or so images portraying correct gestures in elocution are unintentionally funny.
