Pfister, Dr. Oskar

Expressionism in Art its psychological and biological basis. Authorized translation by Barbara Low and M. A. Mugge, with 11 full-page illustrations and two tables and diagrams in the text

E. P. Dutton & Co., New York. 1923, viii, 272p., inserted coated plates in b&w as called for (one a fold-out in good shape), first American edition clothbacked boards with printed paper spine and cover labels, untrimmed edges, a nice production; spine is mildly faded and label bears some old water-spotting. Boards show card at corner-tips, a old homemade blockprinted bookplate on the pastedown has offset to ffep, and there is pencilled light underlining and bracketing here and there -erasable, inoffensive. Sound hinges, a quite good copy.
