Marsh, Richard Phillip

Let Saigons be Saigons aka Memoirs of a reluctant warrior / The legend of the full leather jacket / The bloomination of youth / A funny thing happened on the way to the war

Sir Hard Charm Books, New York. 2008, iv, 619p., archival-grade paperstock and seriously-sound binding (for a softback), pocket-size 7x4.2 inch glossy color wraps featuring a collaged portrait of the author, inscribed and signed by the author on the dedication leaf (he directs inscribee to "enjoy in the bathroom"); mildest edgewear, a very good copy. Marsh's career in the US Navy was peripheral to a few large events (deployment during Pueblo incident; picking up Apollo 11 and 12 crew after splashdowns) and he reflects on others (his understanding of MyLai colored by subsequent viewing of the movie "Full Metal Jacket"). And locating good dope on Maui. FYI: author's copyright page filing dates are plural: 1968 and 2008
