Tuttle Co.], no place [Rutland/Tokyo]. 1964, 509p., first edition openweave cloth boards titled black in dust jacket; endsheets and textblock edges lightly foxed (no mustiness), the jacket is edgeworn and has verso tape-reinforcements. Author Miyamoto has inscribed the title page to his "good friend Bill Hartwell" and signed in roman alpha and Japanese characters. On the Japanese in Hawaii, from early immigration to internment; some Miyamoto's research results are rendered in dialogue, but not preponderantly.
