Western islands, Boston. 1969-1973, Vol I: vii, 615 p.; Vol II: xi, 615p.; Vol. III: xiii, 639 p.; Vol. IV: xi, 667 p., cloth and dj. Four hardcover volumes, jacket of vol. I somewhat rubbed; vol. 1 signed by Gannon. Each volume contains biographies of individuals and organizations on the "radical left," as determined by the right-wing author's perspective. Period covered extends from the 19th century to the anti-Vietnam War movement. Although the original intention was to publish eight volumes, only four appeared. Gannon was in the John Birch Society's "research department" (sic).
