Speech of the hon. James K. Polk, of Tennesr [sic] on his motion to re-commit to the committee of ways and means the report of the secretary of the treasury on the removal of the deposites; and the amendment offered by Mr. M'Duffie, instructing said committee to report a bill for their restoration. [title page text, followed by a caption title which lacks spelling error, supplies further information:] Delivered in the House of Representatives, Dec. 30, 1833, and Jan. 2, 1834

Prinbed bf Wm. Greer [typesetting sic], City of Washington. 1834, 25p., disbound, several original threads present and holding, 10x6 inch self-wraps with an initial blank and the eccentric title leaf. Signatures begun to split along folds; blank overwritten in several old hands (recto) and bearing, in old sepia nib, a tipped-on "index" to items no longer present, verso. Somewhat foxed and edgeworn, generally, with mild dust-soil.
