Printed for S. and J. Sprint, J. Nicholson, R. Parker, Benj. Tooke, London. 1700 [MDCC], Unpaginated preliminaries including author portrait and pictorial title page (two further plates opposite pp.1 and 145) and a printed title, variously paginated: 359, 158, 64p. Textblock is sound with original cords and thread holding securely, remnants of headbands, period calf boards panelled in blind and black are present but detached, calf spine with raised bands is rough but continues to be serviceable (lacks spine labels); first leaf a blank that is torn half across and bears numerals and names in period sepia nib. Textblock is dust-soiled round all edges, is a bit toned and mildly foxed, an ancient small ink-spill has affected foredge margins of the first hundred leaves, foredge also spotted with offset reddish-brown. A handleable copy of the first Englished edition that should be recased.
