Parker, Samuel, D.D.

A sermon, preached before his honor the lieutenant-governor, the honorable the council, and the honorable the senate and house of representatives of the commonwealth of Massachusetts, May 29, 1793; being the day of general election

Thomas Adams, printer to the honorable General Court, Boston. 1793, 42p., mould-made paper in signatures fastened with coarse old thread through stab-holes, the leaves eccentrically trimmed, dust-soil wherever exposed and mild foxing throughout, signatures slightly askew, a good to very good copy. We note that this seeming "self-wraps" format starts with title page in the "p.3" slot so there must have been a further leaf, most likely half-title. Parker congratulates his fellow Americans because "we have indifputably furpaffed all the nations in the univerfe, in piety and attachment to religion" (p.24)
