Francis Hart & Company, New York. 1877, 33p., boasts a tissue-guarded wood-engraved frontis illustration with monochrome tint, sewn textblock in 9.5x6 inch plain printed grey wraps. Chipped on spine with short splits and an inchlong loss, wrapper nearly detached, cover dust- and handling-soiled with light old pencilled notes, a goodish copy. Ceremony included an encomium from longtime colleague Bayard Taylor and a long poem by E. C. Stedman. The "colossal" bronze bust was by sculptor Charles Calverley.
