"Insted of a catalog" Lead article on the discovery in Hawaii of a Herman Melville "Incunabulum" McDevitt was an active used and rare book dealer in San Francisco, along with an a very active and well known Socialist Party activist. He also promoted spelling reform and often used phonic spelling.
