Frankie in wonderland;; with apologies to Lewis Carroll, the originator and pre-historian of the New Deal; by A Tory

E. P. Dutton & Co., Inc., New York City. 1934, 24p., staplebound 7.5x4.7 inch plain printed salmon-colored wraps; not a standard Dutton production (to say the least). A bit crimped near the spinefold, somewhat worn and dim. We note that one of our worthy competitors has identified 'A Tory' as Latham R. Reed, who may be the party who instituted a namesake Palm Beach golf tournament. "A Tory" stays pretty close to Carroll's text, in fact borrows sizeable chunks verbatim then spices this up with quickly-drawn variations; Lewis' footman posing at the Duchess' door stays the same but with the "White House" door substituted, and then some 90 or 100 words follow scarcely changed. Thanks to the thefts, reasonably readable --however unoriginal. No illustrations.
