Church, Tom, prisoner #1642377, b. 11/9/63

Guilty until proven innocent, a book/tape event, as part of the "new" Monday night reading / performance series. FREE! Mon., Aug. 24, 1998 midnight, Tip Top Inn, 3001 Mission @ 26th

author, San Francisco. 1998, Unpaginated, about 60p., 8.5x5.5 inch self-wraps printed on orange paperstock throughout, illustrated with a small mugshot and a number of photocopied documents; several central leaves have escaped from the single-staple fastener. Church's name we gather from one or two of these, he prefers in his text to go by the prison number assigned him. Apparently he got into a loud argument with his girlfriend, she remained silent out of chagrin or resentment, the cops felt bawled out, Church went to jail for 18 days and into a long series of indignant litigation. Protest letter to Hennessey, diary entries (?), &c, this booklet apparently given away free when author sought an airing at a poetry reading.
