Coan, Blair

The red web; an underground political history of the United States from 1918 to the present time showing how close the government is to collapse and told in an understandable way

Northwest Publishing Company, Chicago. 1925, 301p., inserted plates on coated paperstock (largely portrait photographs), documents in facsimile in the text, first edition blue cloth boards titled and decorated in white and red (cobweb over congressional dome). Spine panel is slightly faded, boards somewhat edgeworn with minute fraying, rear hinge has a hairline crack but holding nicely, two or three creased leaves; most serious of the flaws is that former owner has bracketed many passages in red pencil and ballpoint pen, made several notes ditto on front endsheet.
