Alfred A. Knopf, New York. 1939, 195p., first edition openweave cloth boards with top edge sprinkle as issued, very good condition in a slightly shelf worn dj with a 'recolored' spine (reasonably well done, but obivious) Sanford's third novel. according to Alan Wald [in his Trinity of Passion, p. 189] it is the one that shows his politicization and movement to the left.
