Association copy. Lengthy and warm inscription from the author, whose previous book was a collection of hobo narratives called "Beggars of Life," to Fremont Older, San Francisco newspaper editor, supporter of Tom Mooney, correspondent of Clarence Darrow. This novel is Tulley's second and deals with prison reform issues.
