National Committee for a Freedom Now Party, New York. 1963, Single 8.5x11 inch sheet folded to make four-page brochure, with red rubberstamp of Sam Jordan's campaign for mayor of San Francisco on the cover. First page copies text of a "Talk of the Town" column from the New Yorker, mentioning the party; the inner pages have a "Talk of the Country" overview of its positions. Rejects both Democrats and Republicans as racist parties and advocates following the model of Africans in developing all-black political action. The Sam Jordan rubberstamp is from the campaign of a Texas-born former boxer and long-time bar owner in Hunters Point, the first Black candidate for mayor of San Francisco
