Chervenkov, Vulko

Fundamental lessons of the discovery of Traicho Kostov's group and of the struggle for its destruction [and] on the shortcomings in party work and our tasks. Report to the plenum of the central committee of the Bulgarian communist party, 16fth January, 1950

printed and published by Jayant Bhatt for People's Publishing House, Ltd., Bombay. December 1950, 31p., staplebound 8x5.2 inch newsprint wraps, cover features a photoportrait of Chervenkov as secretary of the cental committee. Browned throughout and begun to be fragile, currently in nearfine shape. "Provocateurs and spies in our party were also sent and recruited by our police. But we, having at our disposal the archives of the former State Security, failed to organise a universal check up of all our cadres" --from p.11. Further on, pp.32-3, the Secretary concludes that the remedy is to "ceate such a situation in the Party and in the country that the enemy cannot work and conceal himself. What is needed for this?
