Red Mountain Editions, Cocoa Beach, FL. 1971, 83p., wraps a bit stained, inscribed "For Harold Rossman, who also survived the 'Days of Wrath", John Beecher, April 13, 1978. Inscriptions refers to the red scare in 1950s, when Beecher was blacklisted. Protest poetry from a descendant of the Abolitionist family which produced Henry Ward Beecher. The poet worked in the steel mills of Alabama (where he began writing poetry) and covered the Southern Civil Rights Movement for Ramparts. Some stereotype black dialect used, poetry covers labor issues, civil rights issues etc.
